With all of the snow, slush, and wind out there, the winter is a hard time of year to be fashionable. Ankle Boots

The latest craze of accessory, these boots work with most styles.  Menswear-inspired ankle boots  offer a nice contrast to feminine ensembles, or add your own touch of feminine with a soft suede boot. 

Exaggeration

It's easy to tackle this style with bold plaids, bright flannels, and loud floral tops.  Too-short pants  can be paired with a conservative top,  but the look is to give one pop of exaggeration to your look, whether it be through an article of clothing or in a trim like feathers, fringe,  or fur. 

Uniform Inspired

Think military chic. Heavy overcoats  and sailor tunics  lead the way to boxy pants with strong details like buckles, zippers, and pockets to add to this precise style.  Satchel bags  and wide bracelets  finish it off.

Soft and Sensual

Silks, satins, and soft leathers  are elegantly dressed in neutral hues of cream  and taupe  to create a feeling of chic femininity, perfect for an outing.  Mini sweater dresses,  chunky knit sweaters,  and cashmere cardigans  all take on this style while adding a touch of warmth.

Matching basic woven and knit fabrics with a sporty spirit, this style touches upon graphics,  stripes,  and rich fleeces.   Sweat coats  and t-shirt dresses  with leggings  are reminiscent of a cozy day at home, yet come in styles cute enough to wear on the town.

Sweaters  and shirts  are now popular in geometric patterns.  Look for stripes, argyle, or anything bold.

Suit jackets  are now worn a tiny bit shorter, hitting at the waist, and giving off the feeling of a more casual blazer. 

Heavy Overcoats

The duffle coat  or overcoat  keeps its length, but takes on some classy patterns like tweed  and chevron.   Look for grays,  browns,  and navy  this winter.

Long Dark Jeans

This season, straight leg  and slim fit jeans  that bunch a little bit around the ankle are absolutely in for guys, and this trend may be sticking around for awhile.  Look for dark colors to draw more emphasis to your face.
