Men's Spring Style Guide

While compared to women's trends, the change of season may not be quite as exciting in the world of men's fashion, but there are still plenty of fun ways to punch up your look for the warmer days ahead.  This spring it's all about adding some edge to your everyday items. 

Top Trends for Spring 2009

White Shirts

Shirts this spring should be light in color  and look relaxed.  Feel free to unbutton them up to the waist and wear the shirt with light baggy pants.   Finish it off with a belt  or sash  if you are want to capture the trend of an Eastern influence.  

Relaxed Jeans

Opt for relaxed fit,  wide leg,  or straight leg  jeans this spring.  The skinny jean  is still around, but the look we are going for here is more about comfort, and let's face it, the skin-tight style does not capture that vibe.  

East Meets West

Look for any article of clothing that reminds you of the far east.  Loose, cropped,  and drawstring pants  will work, as well as shirts with a mandarin collar  or made of a silky  material.  Even shoes take on this trend with lace ups  or woven sandals.    

Wide Stripes

Look for shirts  and pants  with the widest vertical stripes you can find.  The bigger the stripe or the space between stripes, the better.  The look to go for is one that reminds you of a cozy pajama shirt  or pajama bottoms.   Pair it with something classy.  

Graphics

Screen print graphics  and patterns are everywhere.  Look for graphic t-shirts with an Ed Hardy style  and pair it with a blazer.   The look is classy but with a punky edge.
