August 23, 2009: If you're thinking about kayaking, and don't know the difference between whitewater and sea kayaking, this book is an excellent introduction. That's also where it stops. You'll read it once, get the basics, then probably put it away. For it's purpose, this is excellent. It could help you sort out what you want to do. After that, you'll need either a class, experience, or a more detailed book.

In this small group tour, you'll kayak at an intermediate level to discover the amazing Humpback Whales off Maui as they breach, blow and more. Nothing equals being up close and personal with these "submarine sized" lifeforms, as you glide in your kayak just inches above the water line! In addition, a killer snorkeling stop at Coral Gardens is part of the day! We finish off with a great beach lunch. What a day!
