One of our favorite wineries for the quality v pricepoint, T-Vine has been producing Petitie Sirah since their inception. This 2006 PS is going to show black fruit as well as a touch of cocoa. After you open, you'll see this 2006 is interesting and layered. As an FYI, Petite Sirah has become this culty varietal. While not as popular as your Napa Cab, fans of Petite Sirah are always looking for the next new and best one coming our of California. It's great to be able to offer this great representation...

Bogle Petite Sirah
On the nose, luscious boysenberry scents mingle with traces of cedar and black pepper. Trademark jammy notes fill the mouth with ripe fruit and berries. Voluptuous finish lingers with toasty vanilla oak and lush fruit. Firm tannins make this a wine that can be enjoyed now and for years to come. Think taverns, paneled and shadowy, with hearty fare - meat pies, lamb, pork or game in rich sauces.

As one of the vineyards that Larry Turley and team farmed from the beginning of their winemaking journey, this prime vineyard is set back where the Mayacamas Moutains of St. Helena hit the vally floor. The importance of this? There's better heat accumulation which allows the vines to capture the morning UV and warmth. In the bottle? Pure magic. We highly suggest trying a few bottles.

Amazingly inky, deep purple wine emerges from the bottle as you pour a glass of Bogle's flagship varietal. On the nose, powerful boysenberry and blackberry scents are reminiscent of last summer's offering. Trademark jammy notes fill the mouth with ripe fruit and berries. The voluptuous finish lingers with toasty, vanilla oak and lush fruit. The firm tannins make this a wine that can develop for years to come, but you won't want to wait that long to enjoy it! Try this unique wine with rich meat dishes of lamb, pork or game and their hearty sauces.

Shows the inky black color, think sandpaper tannins and dryness that mark the best of North Coast Petite Sirah. Those qualities make the wine a bit hard and closed now, but the flavors are a real buried treasure. Blackberries, currants, licorice, beef jerky, cola, sweet leather, it's a tremendous swirl of complexity. If you must drink soon, decant. Otherwise the wine will effortlessly ride out the next 20 years.

Bogle 2007 Petite Sirah California
Description Tasting Notes - Thirty-one years after it was first produced by the Bogle family in 1978, Petite Sirah is today considered Bogle’s heritage varietal. Ripe summer blackberries and plums overwhelm both the nose and palate of this wine. Its trademark inky, jammy qualities are a barrage of black fruit and spice, adding layer upon layer of complexity. Notes of supple leather and toasty oak envelop the flavors through the finish, giving way to wisps of caramel and vanilla. The firm tannins...

This wine has a lot of body and tends to go well with stronger meats - game, beef, lamb and is an excellent companion to spicy sauces and hearty pasta dishes.

Up front blueberry syrup, black cherry and coffee b ean shake up the senses, finishing with warm cigar box cedar and vanillan flavors. Brawny, solid tannins send aftershocks down the throat creating a seemingly endless finish. When all is said and done this Petite Sirah leaves its mark of destruction, leaving teeth and glasses stained of its inky dark color.

This wine reflects its hillside origins, showing a very deep red intense color. It's bouquet is more subtle, with hints of white pepper and violets and a background of black currant jam. On the palate, the wine is bright with lots of liquorice, cranberry and blackberry. Soft, yet firm tannins will allow for mid-term aging but the wine is beautiful now! - Cécile Lemerle-Derbes, Winemaker
